§ About · Sophia T. Lopez

Strategic thinker.
Creative executor.

§ 01 — The long version

Built at the intersection of strategy and story.

I studied at the University of St Andrews, where I balanced a demanding academic schedule with competing as a national-level swimmer — an experience that taught me discipline, resilience, and how to perform under pressure when the stakes are real.

After graduating, I joined Fidelity International, working across marketing, content, and partnerships — documenting financial products, building campaigns, and collaborating with teams who were genuinely good at what they did.

Since then I've split my time between consulting, long-form writing, and partnership programmes for mission-driven organisations. The through-line is the same: strategy that sounds like a person, and stories that earn their second read.

I'm currently open to new roles in marketing, partnerships, and creative strategy — especially in mission-driven organisations where the work actually matters. Based in Edinburgh; happy to travel.

§ 06 — Things I believe

A short list of working principles.

  1. Clarity is a kindness. If a sentence can mean two things, it means nothing.
  2. Strategy without ritual is theatre. The plan only lives if someone owns the rhythm.
  3. Most "brand problems" are product problems wearing a nicer coat.
  4. Interview thirty people. The fifteenth one is usually where the insight lives.
  5. Write it shorter. Then write it shorter again.
